With German discount supermarkets going head to head in school uniform price wars, even before school is out this year, The Sun has put a range of supermarket uniforms to the test!
Uniforms from Aldi, Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury’s were put through 40 washes – the average number or washes in a school year, to see how they performed in comparison with one another. The tests were carried out at Manchester Fashion Institute and seemed to reach some fairly useful conclusions for parents out there struggling to know what to buy where.
The Sun tested polo shirts, skirts, trousers and jumpers were tested from each budget range.

Overall, according to The Sun, Tesco uniform appeared to perform best, with Aldi ending up at the bottom of the pile.
